EVOLI (Schools / 2019-ongoing)

EVOLI is a video-annotation tool to support the hybrid and flexible instructional model. It allows students to insert feedback linked to a specific time instant in the video and teachers to analyze the progress of the lesson through customized dashboards to maximize the educational process.

EIT-Urban Mobility (Schools / 2020-2021)

Talky Tutor (Schools / 2019-ongoing)

TalkyTutors are chatbots that support learners, helping them to go through the items of an online course. The underlying innovative technology (aCHAT) allows to build customized pathways of items and also to customize the conversation.

Eco/logical Learning and Simulation Environments in Higher Education (Erasmus+ program). A project to extend the flipped classroom model to higher education via simulation environments and a students' response system.

Educational experience with an Italian high-school (Liceo Scientifico op. Scienze Applicate “A. Berenini” High School) in Fidenza, in collaboration with the local museum (Museum of the Diocese of Fidenza). A website and 3 multimedia narratives were created.

Learning@Socialsport (Schools / 2007-2009)

Educational experiences in Multi-Users Virtual Environments on ethical, social and psychological issues related to sport. In cooperation with SBS Master Verde Sport (by the Italian fashion brand Benetton), the Accenture Italian Foundation and the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI). More than 350 young athletes from Italian sport associations were involved.

In cooperation with the Civic Archeological Museum of Milan (Italy), with the support of the Lombardy Region: three multimedia "stories" about the museum (Roman Section and the Gandhara Art Section).

Hermann Hesse: Seekers of Truth (Cultural heritage / 2007)

In cooperation with Tec-Lab of the University of Italian Switzerland, Hermann Hesse Museum of Montagnola, Lugano (CH). Multimedia "story" about the “Monte verità” community, based near Lugano, where Hermann Hesse spent some time.

MAPS (Cultural heritage / 2006)

Marketing Activities for the Promotion of Syrian Cultural Heritage, in cooperation with the Syrian ministry for Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

PoliCultura (Schools / 2006-ongoing)

A national competition on collaborative digital storytelling at school, based on “1001stories”, an authoring tool designed and deployed by HOC-LAB. More than 42,000 students, from pre-school to high school, have taken part so far.

With the support of Accenture Foundation, as part of the Accenture Corporate Citizenship investment program, executed in cooperation with Fondazione Italiana Accenture. On European history. More than 6,000 high school students from 18 European countries and the USA (West Point cadets) involved.

Distributed Infrastructure for Cultural Heritage. Construction of a "peer to peer" environment for the management and dissemination of cultural heritage.

SEE (Schools - Cultural heritage / 2002-2004)

Shrine Educational Experience: educational experiences in Multi-Users Virtual Environments on the “Dead Sea Scrolls” and related religious, historical, sociological issues. In cooperation with the Israel Museum and with the support of the Dorot Foundation. Over 1,400 middle and high school students from Italy, Israel and Belgium, were involved.
